Joe Revelez was born in Del Rio, Texas on July 5th 1960. He started singing with a mariachi at the tender age of seven. He was influenced by his grandfather Ramon Martinez, who had a versatile musical ability to play fourteen instruments & played for the Auguistin Lara Orchestra. His Father and mother Tomas and Consuelo Revelez encouraged Joe to pursue his ambition for the music. At the age of twelve years old, Joe recorded with Jay Garcia and The Crusader Band. Joe Also got to play with many famous artists such as: Sunny Ozuna and The Sunliners, Latin Breed, Little Joe, Joe Bravo, Augustine Ramirez, Freddie Martinez, Grupo Mayo, Laura Canales, Stephanie Lynn, Ocar G & many more.

Joe Also crossed over to the engllish market and performed with groups like: The Platters, The Coasters, Pure Majic. Sister Sledge & Kid Frost. In 1986, Los Dudes were born "The Band. it consisted of 2 keyboard players, anthony hernandez played touch bass, guitar & drums, Joe played piano strings, brass & lead vocals while anthony harmonized. The group los dudes, recorded their first record with bob griever & cara records. Later they were to record with cbs records & eventually sign with capitol records.

In 1989 "Los Dudes" were nominated most promising band at the Tejano Music Awards. They were also nominated for vocal duo of the year that same year. Los dudes toured california, arizona, florida, michigan & many other states. In the Summer of 1999, Los dudes got off the road to form a salsa jazz band called "Los Kompadrez" with Al Gomez, Ray Zule, Joe Black, Moses Olivo, Pete Garza & el guapo on congas. The band lasted 3 years.

All this time, Joe had been writing songs for many artists on major labels. Joe was nominated 6 times for song of the year. Joe has written songs for La Fiebre, Stephanie Lynn, Emilio Navaira, David Marez, Joe Posada, Sunny Ozuna, Oscar G, Los Desperados, La mafia, Laura canales & Jay Perez to name a few.
In 2002, Joe decided to form los dudes again, this time with complete elements. He recruited Rick Balderama on trumpet & vocals and his brother Richard Balderama on Sax. Both are sons of legendary Henry Balderama Y La Patruya. His drummer, gilbert escobedo jr. comes from san antonio & was influenced by his father, Gilbert Escobedo Sr, Founder of the latin breed & T.T.M.A awards. On guitar is Dan "Pato" Davila, a season player & vocalist. On bass is pete garza from the latin breed band, returns to joes band. On accordion is Joe Lara of grupo Expression Fame. Joe now lives in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he currently works at freddie records. Side by side with freddie martinez sr. they collaborate in arranging & writing songs for the comapny. Joe still performs with the legends y los dudes & was inducted into the tejano roots hall of fame in 2005. Joe is very part to be a part of the tejano culture & history.
